Why did I become an interpreter? It’s my passion: I’m fully convinced that you should only do a job that’s fun for you and not necessarily what is in demand on the market or is most lucrative. You spend much of the day doing your job and if you like doing something you do it better. What are my professional strengths? I always try to put myself in the position of the customer to meet their needs in the best possible way. Flexibility and adaptability are self-evident for me. Which experience during my career do I remember especially well? I really can’t name an extraordinary experience as every job can be exciting. I really appreciate the fact that interpreters generally stay in the background during work. It’s rather a pleasure for me to feel useful as an interpreter. It it no fun for me and requires greater effort to remain in standby while people try to get on among themselves in a conversation than to really interpret.
Education: graduated with an MA as translator from the university of Bologna (Italy) post-graduate specialisation as a conference interpreter at the university of Mainz (FASK) in Germany sworn translator and sworn interpreter for Italian and French Memberships: Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Übersetzer (BDÜ) - German Association of Interpreters and Translators My experiences/specialist fields IT - more than 10 years of indirect cooperation with SAP law (criminal and civil law) with regular assignments at notary’s and law offices, courts and penal institutions medicine: interpreting in hospitals, at medical conferences and patient-doctor conversations industry, market research and TV
